Jamie has worked extensively in Australia, New Zealand and more recently the United States as an Actor, Acting Coach, Director, Voiceover Artist and Script Advisor. On screen, Jamie is best known as Narrator Ben Charlton in Underbelly: Land of the Long Green Cloud. Other Screen credits include feature films Crushed and I think I’m going, TV shows: Hummingbird, Westside, Anzac Girls, Out of the Blue, Home and Away and Shortland St. Short film’s: The Heist, Aurora, Screaming Goats: The Movie, Blue Bird, The Shed, Nightstorm, Vinyl and Winners and Losers.
Jamie‘s theatre credits include Speaking in Tongues (Australian Theatre Company, Matrix Theatre, Los Angeles), Zip Ties (Hollywood Fringe), Dog’s Barking (Sydney Fringe), Sydney Ghost Stories , Soldier and the Thief…, Kikia Te Poa(Old Fitzroy), Colder (Stables), Class Enemy (NIDA), 7 Blowjobs (Belvoir) and various NIDA productions. He also toured New Zealand with Blood Brothers. Jamie co-founded the Really Really Serious Theatre company and Picture This Productions, a collaboration of five Sydney based artists responsible for Sydney Ghost Stories and The Australian Premiere of Bug by Tracey Letts.
As a Director and Acting Coach Jamie has worked for Theatre of Arts in Hollywood, Actors Centre Australia, NIDA, Griffin Theatre Company, North Shore Drama, Young Playwrights in association with Ensemble Theatre and CCMT in Auckland. Jamie has also co-ordinated his own workshops in Australia and New Zealand and privately coached many actors in audition preparation, several who have gone on to achieve significant success. Jamie has voiced hundreds of TV and radio commercials for New Zealand and Australia. In 2009 he was awarded a Mike Walsh Fellowship to train in New York with Susan Batson and at the Stella Adler Studio. Jamie has a Bachelor of Dramatic Art (Acting) from NIDA and a Bachelor of Arts (Theatre and Film) from Victoria University of Wellington.
